Ethical Standards
The Journal of Catalan Intellectual History (JoCIH) complies with the sixteen Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing published by the Committee on Publication Ethics, the Directory of Open Access Journals, the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association and the World Association of Medical Editors.
JoCIH Editors acknowledge their responsibilities toward authors, peer reviewers, and readers. All authors submitting a work to JoCIH should be treated with fairness, courtesy, objectivity, honesty, and transparency. Confidentiality of every author’s work will be protected.
Decisions concerning the manuscripts will not be influenced by personal characteristics of the authors —origin, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion or personal beliefs. Decisions will be strictly based on the scientific validity, quality, and importance of the articles to the scientific and academic community. Editors will make sure that all articles are published with relation to the scope of the journal supported relevance, innovation, scientific strength, and ethics. JoCIH editors will also ensure that this objective is respected.
In this regard, the editorial board is participating in a growing community of Similarity Check System's users in order to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy. Similarity Check is a medium that allows for comprehensive manuscripts screening, aimed to eliminate plagiarism and provide a high standard and quality peer-review process.
