The Journal of Catalan Intellectual History will apply the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license to articles and other published images, records, resources, and research materials. If JoCIH submits a work for publication, the authors agree to have the CC Attribution NonCommercial SareAlike license applied to their work. Under this Open Access license, authors retain ownership of the copyright for their content.

The specific legal conditions for this type of license apply. Authors retain copyright of their work, with first publication rights granted to the JoCIH. The authors should sign LyC Copyright Agreement once the article is accepted for publication (download).  Licensees can (i) Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and (ii) Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material.

According to CC, these are the terms of the license, and the JoCIH is committed to respect them:

Attribution — Licensees must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the licence, and indicate if changes were made. They may do so in a reasonable manner.

NonCommercial — They may not use the material for commercial purposes.

ShareAlike — If they remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute the contributions under the same licence as the original.

The JoCIH reserves the right to remove any photos, captures, images, figures, tables, illustrations, audio and video files, and the like, from any paper, whether before or after publication, if there is reason to believe that the content was included in the paper without permission from the owner of the content. Authors can use the JoCIH Content permission form (download), which should be signed and sent back to JoCIH with the JoCIH Copyright Agreement (download).
